May Challenge

One of the girls on the WW site set up a challenge on the Core Boards for May. Going to stick to CORE foods only and no sugar! Also promising to do at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday. I am starting today! I got up at 6 a.m. for a walk! Great morning as it has been raining overnight so everything was crisp, clear and sparkling! I walked for 40 minutes! Came home to a healthy CORE breakfast! So far so good! I will be visiting family in about 8 weeks time, so this is a good way to kick start the next two months of losses! Have now lost 4.9kg in 6 weeks, 14cm gone and have lost 1.3% body fat too!! BMI is down from 35.7 when I started to 33.3. Still sadly technically obese but am striving forwards to see it drop into the overweight category and then the normal!! I have had a loss at WW every week so far! Am keen to keep this happening - even if it is only a little loss at least it's not a gain!! Feeling very positive!!!
This was me after losing 15kgs last time with WW. Am hoping to be somewhere close to this by the time I go to visit family at the end of June.

The Beginning....

This is the picture that started it all! It was Christmas Day 2004!

It was hot hot hot! and what was I wearing?? - jeans and practically a long sleeved shirt! I wanted to be covered up! I was smiling for the family photo but inside I wasn't happy at all! I started going to WW and had some success, losing 15kgs. Life got in the way and I obviously hadn't learnt my lessons properly so all the weight I had lost came back and bought a few more extra kilos with it for good measure!

My family and I moved to a new town earlier this year. So I decided "New Town - New Me - New Lifestyle". I rejoined WW on the 13th March 2007. To date, four weeks later I have lost 3.6 kilos!

Next year I will be 40! I DO NOT want to be fat and forty! I am changing my lifestyle now - for good! I want to be a good role model for my children. I want them to learn healthy eating habits and the benefits of exercise, from an early age. I want to be the best me I can be!
